We would like to warn everybody about the dangers of the new and more virulent form of Viral Haemorrhagic Disease, RHD, rabbits can die in hours from this blood disease, there is a new vaccine for it that can be given in addition to the combined Myxomatosis/VHD vaccine, our small mammals vet has stressed how important this vaccine is for all rabbits.
"Due to lack of rabbit foster homes, the charity will not taking in any more rabbits for the foreseeable future and will not be holding a waiting list. Should anyone in the Bedford area be interested in fostering rabbits, then please contact the helpline. Guinea pigs, gerbils and hamster will continue to be rehomed as before."
