Donate as you Shop

Words will never be enough to express our gratitude to our devoted supporters. With so many deserving causes to choose between, we feel truly honoured to be your chosen charity.

One-off donations (of as little as £1) can be made any time via Paypal or Givey, and if you’d like to become a regular supporter, monthly donations can also easily be set up on Paypal.

Please do contact us at info@rats-animalrescue.co.uk if you don’t use Paypal or Givey. We’d be happy to let you know other ways to donate, for example a direct debit straight to our bank account. When there’s a will, there’s always a way!

Donating directly

Every penny makes a difference!

We are always grateful for donations of any animal-related toys, food, towels, bedding and equipment that you no longer need.

Donations for our animals can be dropped off at our kennels between 8am and 12pm every day, however please do pop across an e-mail to info@rats-animalrescue.co.uk or call 01763 289 827 to let us know that you’re coming.

Donations can also be dropped off at our charity shop in Biggleswade. See here for the address and opening times. We also have several other drop off points in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire if getting to our kennels or charity shop is difficult. Please contact us, and we’ll let you know if we have an address near you that you can drop off at.

If you are bringing bedding, we can accept duvets, bed covers and blankets however we can’t accept pillows or pillowcases. Any food that you are donating must be sealed in the original packaging for safety and hygiene reasons.

Donating items to our animals

The Rehoming Animal Telephone Service currently has one Charity Shop - the income from which is vital to help ensure that we can carry out our work of rehoming animals.

We welcome any donations of good quality used clothing, bric-a-brac, books, DVDs, CDs, and other collectables etc. and would ask that if you have any items to donate that you drop them off at our Shop during opening hours.

Items can also be dropped off, along with any donations for the Small Mammal Section, in the porch of: 3 Troon Close, Bedford MK41 8AY

The shop depends totally upon volunteers, who make an extremely valuable commitment to us to help sort and sell items. We are always looking for new volunteers to help in our small, friendly shop and so if you are interested please send us an email as we would love to hear from you!

01

You can be sure that your donations will always go straight towards the care of our animals. You’ll be directly helping to pay for their veterinary care, food, bedding, toys and any essential grooming and behavioural support. Our number one priority is keeping our beloved animals healthy and happy!

02

The running costs of our kennels, cattery and small mammal homes are also a huge financial undertaking, so your support will allow us to always stay open and continue to keep our animals safe and comfortable.

03

From the bottom of our hearts and on behalf of the animals in our care, thank you for your kindness and generosity. We know we can’t change the world, but with your help, we can continue to change the world for so many animals, for many years to come.
