Treasurer Role

This is a part-time volunteer role. The Treasurer will be responsible for managing the charity's finances, including budgeting, financial reporting, and overseeing financial transactions.
Requirements:

Work closely with the charity's bookkeeper, to oversee the management of the charity's finances

Work closely with the chair to ensure good financial processes and systems are in place

Liaise with the charity's auditor on the annual Independent Examination

Prepare a monthly management account pack and presenting these at the trustee meetings

Willing to visit the kennels near Buntingford, the charity shop in Biggleswade and to attend monthly trustee meetings in person

Management of collection tins

Responsible for the charity's daily banking and bank accounts

Strong cash management and attention to detail and accuracy

Good understanding of financial management and reporting

Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks is beneficial, but not essential

Knowledge of non-profit financial regulations

Excellent organisational and time management skills

Professional accounting, finance or similar qualification is desirable, but not essential
